Officials hope new multi-purpose rooms at Lapeer elementary schools foster learning

LAPEER, MI – Lapeer elementary students are starting off their new year with three new multi-purpose rooms as Lapeer Community Schools continues to put its $44 million infrastructure bond to use.

Ribbon cutting ceremonies were held for new multi-purpose rooms at Murphy, Turrill, and Schickler elementary schools on Friday, Jan. 10.

Each of the new spaces comes equipped with basketball courts, four-square courts, and hopscotch courts as well as a projector, a screen, and a new sound system…
