Mass. weather: Here’s when snow is expected to start on Saturday

The storm that wasn’t is expected to bring some light snow to Massachusetts on Saturday, and it could start while people sleep in.

The Bay State is on track to avoid a low-pressure system that could have brought several inches of snow this weekend. However, a column could produce one or two flurries after midnight on Saturday, as clouds gather, according to the National Weather Service.

Light snow is then expected to start falling from west to east in the 4 to 7 a.m. timeframe, forecasters said. There’s not likely to be any chance for a winter wonderland, with snowfall totals likely being below 1 inch, with highs between 1 and 2 inches in Pittsfield and Lawrence…
