Santa Barbara County Supervisors and Sheriff Bill Brown welcomed two new K-9 teams to the fold Tuesday: K-9 Obi and Deputy Oscar Covarrubias, and K-9 Draco and Sr. Deputy James Carovano.
The highly-trained German shepherds were donated via the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Benevolent Posse’s Project Deputy Dog Program through the generosity of Christine and Reece Duca. The two K-9s bring their donation to a total of six canine officers for the county.
