BOSTON, Mass. (WWLP)–The governor ceremonially signed a new law on Friday morning that aims to make substance use disorder treatment more accessible and affordable.
An Act relative to treatments and coverage for substance use disorder and recovery coach licensure requires health insurance coverage for certain treatments, creates a pathway for recovery coach licensure, and ensures that parents’ custody of their children will not be threatened solely because a parent is on medication for substance use disorder.
