Zayden High Returns to School at UNC, Remains Off Team

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Zayden High has re-enrolled for classes this semester at North Carolina, but he isn’t practicing with the basketball team and won’t be rejoining the Tar Heels this season, sources have told Inside Carolina.

The 6-foot-9 forward played sparingly across 23 appearances for UNC last season, when he was a freshman. In late August, eight days after classes began for the fall semester and the university’s new school year kicked off, the basketball program announced that High “is not enrolled at the University of North Carolina.”

Multiple sources said then that High’s status had been in limbo for much of the previous offseason due to an off-the-court matter. The resolution for that situation ultimately became that he essentially would serve a suspension from school and sit out the approaching college basketball season, sources confirmed.
