SCSO: Roads could re-freeze overnight

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — As snow begins to melt, low temperatures could cause roads to re-freeze overnight, according to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.

When the snow melts during the day and temperatures drop, SCSO said it can cause road conditions to deteriorate as the water on the roads re-freezes.

This could create icy patches, making driving hazardous, especially in the early morning hours when re-frozen surfaces may be difficult to see and navigate.
