ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Freezing rain, sleet and snow are long-gone. But, ice and snow remain on some area roadways. Sunset brings plummeting temperatures and a greater risk of black ice. Today and Sunday are First Alert Weather Days, due to the risk of more slick travel tonight and Sunday morning.
Temperatures have warmed into the low and mid-30s across metro Atlanta, under lots of clouds. Northeastern Georgia has managed more sunshine this afternoon – pushing temperatures into the upper 30s.
