Join Us on Sunday January 12, from 3:30-5pm at Middletown Art Center for a Celebratory Reception and Dedication of the Water Baskets. Tribal and
civic leaders as well the artists will be present. Refreshments will be available.
Those wishing to walk up to the Water Baskets on Rabbit Hill are encouraged to do so following opening remarks by Middletown Rancheria Tribal Chair Moke Simon and other speakers and enjoying the reception. The Water Baskets are particularly spectacular during the golden hour, at sunset, or dusk! The Water Baskets honor the cultural legacy of the original stewards of this land, and the Indigenous flora and fauna of the Middletown area, known in Kóotsa-ataw as “Wiilokyomi” – Dusty Place.
