Road rage shooter sentenced to prison

WHITE PLAINS – Forty-five-year-old Waterbury, Connecticut resident Stephen Escoffery was sentenced on Friday to 14 years in state prison following conviction at trial over a road rage dispute on I-95.

It was alleged that in December 2022, a victim was driving northbound in the left lane of I-95 in the vicinity of Harrison when Escoffery, driving a BMW, approached the rear of his vehicle.

Following a non-verbal disagreement, Escoffery pulled up beside the victim’s car, waved a pistol at the victim, and fired it, striking the victim’s vehicle…
