The Leesburg Boating Club collected thousands of dollars and toys for a charity event before hosting its yearly Christmas boat parade last month.
On Dec. 8, the LBC gave its annual gift to the community, “The Leesburg Christmas Boat Parade.” But they gave so much more than an evening of entertainment. That same morning, the club hosted the annual “Toys for Tots event.”
In addition to providing lunch for the participants, the boat club donated $9,452 in cash and 205 pounds of toys. The total collected for the “Toys for Tots” event was $17,057 and 8,780 pounds of toys!…
