The Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority is opening the waitlist for affordable housing at nine properties for older adults on Jan. 13 at 8 a.m.
The application window closes at 11:59 p.m. on Jan. 19. Applications must be submitted through Rent Café. Instructions for creating an account on Rent Café are available here.
To qualify for the following affordable properties, the head of the household must be at least 62 years old:
- Lincolnia Senior Apartments, efficiencies/studios, 4710 N. Chambliss Street, Lincolnia.
- Coppermine, two-bedroom apartments, 13395 Coppermine Road, Herndon.
- Lake Anne House, efficiencies and one and two-bedroom apartments, 11444 N. Shore Drive, Reston.
- One University, two-bedroom apartments, 4518 University Drive, Fairfax.
For the following properties, all household members must be at least 62 years old:
- Oakwood Meadow, one and two-bedroom apartments, 5815 S. Van Dorn Street, Alexandria.
- Autumn Willow, one and two-bedroom apartments, 13175 Autumn Willow Drive, Fairfax.
- Herndon Harbor House, one-bedroom apartments, Grace Street and Jorss Place, Herndon.
- Lindsay Hill, one and two-bedroom apartments, 8915 Pink Carnation Court, Lorton.
- North Hill Senior Residences, two-bedroom apartments, 7245 Nightingale Lane, Alexandria.
