Central Florida Red Cross workers headed to assist those impacted in California wildfires

ORLANDO, Fla. More than 200 trained Red Cross disaster workers from around the country, including several from Centra Florida, are headed to California to assist those impacted by the deadly wildfires.

The fires in Pacific Palisades and Hollywood Hills have displaced thousands, making it the most destructive fire in Los Angeles history.

The Red Cross is working closely with its partners to continue to provide safe shelter, food, emotional support and other critical services to those in need.

Local Perspective: Several of the Red Cross workers heading to assist those impacted by the wildfires are from the Central Florida area, officials shared. Two of the workers are specifically from Orlando.
