Rensselaer, IN – An Ohio man faces multiple charges after allegedly trying to drive his vehicle off a tow truck to evade arrest on Friday.
Indiana State Trooper Carlson responded to a crash on southbound I-65 near the 206-mile marker, just north of the Rensselaer/Remington exit. The incident involved a 2008 Toyota Camry requiring a pullout.
Trooper Carlson’s investigation revealed the driver, later identified as Carlos D. Sept, 52, from Dayton, Ohio, allegedly lied about his identity. Authorities determined he was wanted in Ohio for a probation violation tied to violent crimes. As officers attempted to detain him, Sept fled across all lanes of I-65, nearly causing several crashes in the wet conditions.…
