SAGINAW, Mich. (WNEM) – Saturday was pleasant with the sunshine popping up here and there. The weekend has another chance of snow for mid-Michigan before a drop in temperatures for the upcoming week.
Tonight – Roads got cleaned up nicely, but know that anything that melted under the sunshine will freeze up tonight. Lows will be in the upper teens near 20 degrees which means icy spots are possible.
Overall road impacts will not be likely because lake effect hits the pause tonight. Skies will be mostly cloudy with winds out of the southwest at 5-10mph.
Sunday – Before the sun comes up, there will be a chance of snow moving into mid-Michigan. The snow rate will be light, but the coverage will not be widespread. Check the interactive radar to track the snow.
The snow will be scattered through the day, so you many notice a lull in the snowfall. The afternoon and evening see the scattered snow continuing. Stay on top of the snow chances with the First Alert Weather app.
The storm will be northwest of mid-Michigan, so we will see higher snow totals towards the northern portion of the TV5 viewing area. Totals will be similar to Friday with 1-2 inches possible. Northern area could see an isolated 3″ in spots.
High temperatures on Sunday will be right around freezing, but temperatures will warm through the day and reach their peak in the evening rather than the afternoon. Temperatures reach their peak late Sunday evening and then they start to fall as a cold front moves through. The front will drop temperatures to the mid 20s by Monday morning. Winds will become westerly around 10-20mph with gusts towards 30mph…
