ECORSE, Mich. – The owners of Auburn Cafe in Ecorse have started a fundraiser to rebuild the restaurant after a fire.
The owners said that on Friday, Jan. 10, 2025, the restaurant was “devastated by a fire.” The family-owned restaurant is on West Jefferson near Visgar Road in Ecorse.
Firefighters worked tirelessly Friday night to save the restaurant. Everyone, including staff and customers, got out safely. While the restaurant looks OK from the outside, the owners said it’s going to take a lot of work to reopen…
