NASHVILLE, Tenn.–Middle Tennessee is experiencing a warm up on Sunday with temperatures in the 40s, but the reprieve from frigid temps and winter weather could be short-lived.
FOX 17 CODE RED Meteorologist Katy Morgan says temperatures will drop below freezing during the evenings/overnights following Sunday’s daytime warmup, meaning there could be icy spots around the midstate during your Monday commute along with a brief wintry mix in the morning.
Not only will temperatures drop, according to the Climate Prediction Center (CPC), there is the possibility of a round of rain followed by winter weather next weekend starting January 18 through the 24th.
Models currently show temperatures will be warm enough next weekend where rain is the most-likely impact. However, a secondary system could be possible starting the 20th, which could also bring winter weather…
