Governor visits Calvert, announces ‘efficiency’ plan

Maryland’s governor chose a modern, state-of-the-art building in rural Calvert County to begin his effort for “government modernization.”

Aware he was addressing Calvert’s leaders who are all Republican, Gov. Wes Moore (D) talked about bi-partisanship as a component for making Maryland’s government “the most efficient in the country — make sure we’re good stewards of taxpayer dollars.”

Moore’s Jan. 10 Calvert visit included a brief introductory meeting at Chesapeake Hill’s Golf Course’s clubhouse. It was followed by a cabinet meeting at the clubhouse, a tour of Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant in Lusby and a briefing on revitalization projects within the Prince Frederick Town Center at an undisclosed location…
