Clayton County, Georgia, is grappling with a recent confirmation of highly pathogenic avian influenza in a small backyard flock, according to state agricultural officials.

FOX 5 Atlanta reported that the Georgia Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced the presence of the HPAI in a collection of 13 chickens and ducks.
