Effective at midnight Thursday, Cincinnati Republican JD Vance resigned as one of Ohio’s senators to ready himself for his next starring role: Playing Robin to Donald Trump’s Batman.
At this writing, Gov. Mike DeWine, a Cedarville Republican, hadn’t picked someone to fill Vance’s Senate seat until November 2026, when voters will keep or replace DeWine’s appointee.
