After a bitterly cold and snowy week, this weekend has been a breath of fresh air. Highs have made it above freezing both days this weekend, with a lot of sunshine and snow melt. Hope you enjoyed it because we have another roller coaster ride ahead.
The rest of your Saturday will bring temperatures into the mid to upper 30s with partly cloudy skies. Winds will be from the south at 10 to 15 mph. Clouds will start to build as we head into the evening hours as tonight we will see a wintry mix chance. These areas of precip will be hit or miss and we don’t expect accumulation. Either way, temperatures do fall into the mid to upper 20s, which means we will see refreezing of that snowmelt today. The low on Monday morning will be around 25°.
Despite partly cloudy skies, Monday will be much cooler, with a high of only 27°. Winds will be from the west at 10 to 15 mph, keeping the wind chill into the low teens for much of the afternoon.
While Monday is dry we will see a clipper system roll in from the northwest into Tuesday. This brings in some more cold and snow. Right now, it looks like the snow will be best through the afternoon. Accumulations don’t look impressive, but some areas could see a dusting to a half of an inch.
The big impact comes from the cold. Tuesday’s high will only be 22° with Wednesday’s low down to 1°. Wind chills on Wednesday will be between -13° to -3°. Stay warm!
THIS EVENING…
