Sister Blandina Segale’s sainthood cause advances with Vatican support

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (WKRC) – Sister Blandina Segale, a Cincinnati Sister of Charity known for her work in the Wild West, has taken a significant step toward sainthood.

A press conference in Albuquerque detailed the progress of her cause, which began a decade ago.

“We believe she’s a saint,” said Alan Sanchez, a petitioner for Sister Blandina’s sainthood. “It’s up to the church to scrutinize why we believe she’s a saint.”…
