RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Rhode Island’s Sebastian Thomas hit a spinning floater with 23 seconds left in overtime, leading the Rams to a 67-64 win over Richmond at the Robins Center. Mike Walz missed a late three-pointer, securing Rhode Island’s first victory over Richmond in seven games.
Richmond, now 7-10 overall and 2-2 in the Atlantic 10, led for most of the game, including a 14-point advantage in the first half. Rhode Island closed the half strong, narrowing the gap to 25-18 at halftime and then taking the lead early in the second half.
