Keeping Texas safe is something that all citizens want to see happen. And another step forward in making that happen was made recently as KXAN is reporting four members of the dangerous Tren de Aragua gang have been arrested after attempting to enter South Texas illegally from Mexico.
Governor Greg Abbott Spoke About the Arrests of the Venezuelan Gang Members
The four suspected gang members were taken into custody on December 31st, 2024 just outside Del Rio, Texas.
They were part of a group of 22 migrants coming from Colombia, Mexico, Peru, and Venezuela.
11 of the 22 that were found by border patrol were arrested and charged with criminal trespass. Family groups were referred to U.S. Border Patrol for processing.
How Did They Identify the Four Tren de Aragua Gang Members?
After being taken into custody there were interviews that were conducted with each person. All were searched for tattoos and cell phones were searched too, which helped law enforcement officers identify the ones affiliated with the gang…
