Paducah couple gets free trip to Eagles vs Packers playoff game after going viral on social media

PADUCAH — A Paducah couple will be on the sidelines of the Eagles-Packers playoff game to cheer on their favorite football team after going viral on social media.

Morgan and Rebecca Alexander traveled from Paducah to Philadelphia last weekend to see Star Eagles Running Back Saquon Barkley break the NFL single-season rushing record. In the photo, the couple holds a sign that reads, “Traveled 1,000 miles to see Saquion break the record!”

Despite their hopes, the team rested Barkley, eliminating his chances of breaking the record.

“In my mind, I was like, there’s no way this record has been held for 40 years. There’s no way they’re gonna at least let him play for a half. You know, to go beat the record,” said Morgan. “I was confident about it. When the news came out that Saquon was gonna rest, I was shocked. I couldn’t believe it. My wife Rebecca couldn’t believe it.”…
