Texas sends firefighting resources to aid California wildfire efforts

AUSTIN, Texas — Governor Greg Abbott has directed the Texas Division of Emergency Management and Texas A&M Forest Service to deploy resources to assist California’s wildfire response. This move follows a request from CAL FIRE through the California Office of Emergency Services.

“Our hearts grieve with the entire Los Angeles community as they continue to respond to these destructive wildfires,” said Governor Abbott. He emphasized the importance of unity in times of crisis and expressed gratitude to the firefighters and first responders assisting Californians.
