Emergency funds boost recovery of roads and bridges in NC and TN after Hurricane Helene

NORTH CAROLINA (WLOS) — The Tennesse Department of Transporation, North Carolina Department of Transportation and the U.S. Forest Service and National Park Service in North Carolina are receiving $352.6 million in Emergency relief funds to restore roads and bridges damaged by Helene. The funds also go towards ensuring safe transportation.

These funds come from the U.S. Department of Transportation through the “quick release” process according to a press release.
