Jackson Academy stabbing suspect’s bond set at $115,000

CLARKE COUNTY, Ala. ( WKRG ) — Bond was set Monday at $115,000 for an 18-year-old accused of stabbing a 16-year-old at a Jackson Academy basketball game on Friday night.

Jackson police said 18-year-old Drayton Kelly, a Jackson Academy student, attacked another 16-year-old boy, who is not a student at Jackson Academy.

“The 16-year-old was attending the basketball game,” Jackson Police Chief Jerry Taylor said. “The 18-year-old came in some time later. Sat beside him, produced a knife and stabbed him in the neck.”
