CLARKE COUNTY, Ala. (WALA) – Jackson Academy senior Drayton Kelley, 18, was charged with attempted murder and having a deadly weapon on school premises.
His bond was set at $115,000. If he makes bail, he’ll have to wear an ankle monitor, can’t go near the victim or victim’s family, can’t have a weapon or be anywhere near any Alabama schools, among other restrictions.
According to court documents, Kelley allegedly stabbed a 16 year old victim in the neck while sitting in the bleachers in the Jackson Academy gym using a blue handled skinning knife. That type of knife is often used by hunters to skin an animal, according to a Google search…
