AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department’s Robbery Unit on Monday requested help identifying a man allegedly involved in a robbery at the Bread Basket convenience store in the 2200 block of East Cesar Chavez Street in east Austin, according to a news release from the agency.
The incident happened on Nov. 14 between 9 a.m. and 9:15 a.m., according to APD.
Authorities said the man entered the store and stole multiple vapes from a display facing the cash register. When the clerk tried to stop the man by grabbing the vapes from him, the man allegedly started assaulting the clerk.
