Cowboys trade idea dumps Dak Prescott to pair Deion and Shedeur Sanders in Dallas

The Dallas Cowboys have an opening at head coach and former Cowboys superstar Deion Sanders is being named among candidates to take the job. Could the Cowboys bring in Sanders and let him draft his son to play quarterback?

Shedeur Sanders is projected by most to be the first quarterback taken in the NFL Draft, and he could go as high as No. 1. The Tennessee Titans have the first overall pick this year and are in need of a quarterback. However, if the Cowboys hire Sanders, it is not out of the realm of possibility that he would want his son as the quarterback. FanDuel Sportsbook proposed this trade that would let the Cowboys draft Sanders and move on from Dak Prescott:

  • Cowboys receive: 2025 No.1 overall pick, 2025 fourth-round pick and 2026 third-round pick
  • Titans receive: quarterback Dak Prescott

Prescott signed a four-year, $240 million contract in 2024. He has been the starter in Dallas for nine seasons but has failed to get Dallas to even the NFC Championship. The Titans are desperate to find a franchise quarterback and Prescott could be the answer. They would know exactly what they are getting while Sanders would be a prospect.

In the last two seasons with the Colorado Buffaloes, Sanders threw for 7,364 yards and 64 touchdowns. He also ran for eight touchdowns. Last season, he led the FBS in completion percentage and led the conference in touchdown passes, yards, and completions…
