INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The proposed calendar for the 2025-2026 school year should look a little familiar to parents here, as there are few changes planned to the current school calendar, officials said Monday.
The first day of school is planned for Aug. 11, about the same as it was this year. Following parent feedback, the first day of school will be on a Monday, district Chief Financial Officer Bruce Green told the School Board. Parents indicated in surveys they prefer the first day back from any holiday to be a Monday, he said.
