Albany man arraigned on attempted murder charges in Halloween stabbing

ALBANY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 )– An Albany man was arraigned in Albany County Court Monday in connection to a stabbing that happened on South Pearl Street Halloween night. Jonathan Bonaparte, 33, faces multiple charges.

According to the Albany County District Attorney, Bonaparte allegedly stabbed a 40-year-old woman in the neck on Halloween and fled the scene. He was arraigned on three charge indictment, the DA’s office said.

Charges:

  • Attempted Murder in the second degree
  • Attempted Assault in the first degree
  • Criminal Possession of a weapon in the third degree

Since his arrest, he has been held at the Albany County Jail. He is scheduled to reappear in court on January 29.
