Popeyes sudden months-long withdrawal from Central Georgia ends with location reopening

MACON, Ga. — A business deal gone wrong shuttered nearly all Central Georgia Popeyes essentially overnight back in May 2024, turning the deep fryer off and locking the doors to the public.

But on Tuesday, one Central Georgia Popeyes location is deep frying once again, sparking long lines and hungry customers.
