Man Accused of Possessing Sawed-Off Rifle at KSU

Brandon Tyler Walden, 19, of Warner Robins, is accused of possessing a sawed-off rifle on Jan. 8 at 1:25 a.m. at 575 Parliament Garden Way in Kennesaw, near the Central Parking Deck and Wellstar College of Health and Human Services, on the Kennesaw campus of Kennesaw State University, according to an arrest warrant from the KSU Campus Police Department.

Walden stated that he was in control of the weapon after being mirandized. The rifle had a configuration that included a shoulder mount stock, a barrel length of approximately 8 inches and an overall length of approximately 24 inches, which met the definition of a sawed-off rifle, according to the warrant.

Walden is charged with unlawful possession of firearms or weapons sawed off. He was arrested on Jan. 12 at 8:24 p.m. and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records…
