The beloved bake shop resting on the corner of West 105th Street and Broadway for the last 25 years is facing eviction.
According to a lawsuit filed Friday in Manhattan Supreme Court, Silver Moon Bakery, located at 2740 Broadway, owes over $200,000 in rent and other dues after overstaying its lease, which allegedly expired in the spring of 2024. The report was first published by Crain’s New York Business.
Silver Moon Bakery signed a 10-year lease agreement on April 1, 2000, according to the court filing. The lease was most recently extended in 2017 for an additional seven years, with the monthly rent listed as $13,261.25.
