BALTIMORE, MD — A routine trip for a car wash turned into a life-changing moment for a Parkville couple last weekend when they won $50,000 on a Millionaire’s Club scratch-off ticket.
The pair, who regularly buy lottery tickets several times a week, stopped at the Canton BP gas station on O’Donnell Street in Baltimore after recognizing it as a spot where they’d previously hit a smaller prize. The ticket they purchased, a $20 scratch-off from the Millionaire’s Club series, ended up delivering their largest win to date.
“It was a car wash gift certificate,” said the husband, a federal employee, describing how their Christmas gift led them to the city. His wife, a general contractor, recalled their excitement upon scratching off the $50,000 win, saying, “You should have seen the look on my wife’s face.”…
