Former Akron Mayor Dan Horrigan was appointed to the position of Cleveland Heights city administrator at the city council meeting on Jan. 6, after a resolution introduced by Cleveland Heights Mayor Kahlil Seren confirming the mayor’s appointment of Horrigan into the position was approved. At the meeting, council members expressed their excitement for Horrigan to join the staff.
“Its New Year’s, so its time to be hopeful and look ahead to the future,” Tony Cuda, city council president, said at the meeting. “This man has skills there’s no question about it that, he’s qualified. I’m very positive about the future with him.”
Horrigan attended the committee of the whole meeting earlier, but was unable to attend the council meeting. Seren expressed apologies on Horrigan’s behalf at the meeting and thanked council for its consideration. Seren also spoke highly of Horrigan and his potential in this role at the meeting…
