‘Baby Bowl’ competition returns to UnityPoint’s Bettendorf and Moline BirthPlaces

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. — Football season is almost over, with the big game just a few weeks away While many of us will be keeping a close eye on the playoffs, UnityPoint Health – Trinity has their own competition going on.

Beginning on Sunday, Jan. 12, UnityPoint’s Bettendorf and Moline BirthPlaces will be keeping track of newborns as part of a four-week competition between the number of newborn boys and girls welcomed at the facilities. The competition runs until Sunday, Feb. 9, and the hospitals will provide weekly updates on the standings.

“The first Baby Bowl competition was such a fun experience for everyone involved,” Bettendorf BirthPlace Manager Kelli Sieverding said in a press release. “Our team members along with the families welcoming little ones enjoyed getting into the spirit of this friendly competition. It’s such a fun and unique way to celebrate the newest additions to our community.”…
