PEORIA (25News Now) – Our morning snow showers will quickly come to an end over the next few hours after minor accumulations ranging from a few tenths up to an inch for most. Temperatures will remain cold today and Wednesday with temperatures remaining below freezing. Sub-zero wind chills are possible both mornings, so make sure to dress warm. We will see some relief from the cold by the end of the work week with highs climbing all the way into the 40’s by Friday afternoon. You will want to take full advantage as bitterly cold air is set to arrive early next week. A storm system will pass through the Midwest this weekend driving in colder air as it passes. This system will primarily pass to our southeast, but a few stray showers are possible as it passes Friday night into Saturday morning. By Sunday night, lows will trend near 0 with sub-zero wind chills expected.
