Kansas City Mayor Lucas hopes to work with Kehoe Administration on future of public safety

Mike Kehoe has been sworn in as Missouri’s 58th governor, and he hopes to hit the ground running on day one focusing on public safety. The theme of his address, “Securing Missouri’s Future,” spoke to Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas, who was in attendance for Kehoe’s inauguration.

Mayor Lucas told Missourinet that he’s looking forward to working with the Kehoe Administration.

“We want to work with Jefferson City,” he said. “We want to work with the governor, to try to do so. If what he said today is how he governs, then I think we can accomplish almost anything, including building a safer Kansas City and a safer Missouri long term.”…
