Kohl’s announced a significant pivot in its real estate strategy, signaling a new chapter for the retail giant. As part of its transformation, the company revealed plans to close its San Bernardino E-commerce Fulfillment Center and 27 underperforming stores by the spring of 2025.
The San Bernardino E-commerce Fulfillment Center, a cornerstone of Kohl’s supply chain since 2010, is set to cease operations in May 2025.
The decision comes as Kohl’s leverages cutting-edge technology in newer facilities and expands its fulfillment capabilities at store locations. This shift enables the company to meet customer demands without relying on the aging San Bernardino facility.
