Over 100 Palm Beach condos miss inspection deadline, risking fines and safety concerns

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — The deadline for Florida condominiums to perform a milestone inspection has come and gone.

Following the Surfside Condo collapse in 2021 that killed 98 people, Florida lawmakers passed legislation that mandated inspections of aging condos that are at least 30 years old.

But over 100 condos in unincorporated Palm Beach County haven’t completed those inspections, potentially putting lives at risk…
