CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) — As the Palmetto State begins a new legislative session, one pre-filed bill has teachers and school administrators concerned about government overreach and student privacy.
House Bill 3216 would mandate the recording of classroom lessons throughout the state, and those concerns center around several issues, including student privacy and extra incurred costs for video equipment, but the bill’s sponsor says the intent is to keep “rogue” teachers from teaching lessons that are “out of bounds.”
