Tearful mother recounts son’s chilling call as father bled out at McDonald’s

BALTIMORE — A tragic incident unfolded at a McDonald’s on Reisterstown Road near Cold Spring Lane, leaving a family in mourning and a community shaken. Jamal Davis, a 38-year-old security guard, was fatally shot during an argument on Sunday afternoon while working alongside his 17-year-old son, a high school student and employee at the restaurant.

The son’s mother, Lashawn Douglas, recounted the harrowing experience her son endured. “He seen everything. He seen everything…and that’s a lot, you know,” she said.

Douglas described the moment her son called her as his father lay bleeding. “He’s saying mom, he’s bleeding, and I was at work…you know mom, he’s bleeding, he’s bleeding out, he’s bleeding bad it’s not stopping. And I’m saying somebody tie something, you know, anything to stop it,” she said…
