Ashwaubenon school district selects new superintendent, replacing Kurt Weyers

The Ashwaubenon school district has selected a new superintendent, Andrew Bake, to replace outgoing superintendent Kurt Weyers . Bake is the current director of curriculum and instruction.

“Having worked in Ashwaubenon for twenty years as a teacher, building administrator, and district curriculum director, I am humbled to serve as superintendent in the community I love,” Bake said in a press release. ”While I know we will face challenges, I also believe that we can overcome whatever challenges the future may hold through collaboration and a shared focus on our students.”

Bake served as teacher, associate principal and principal at Valley View Elementary School before taking his current position in 2022. As superintendent, he’ll focus on student achievement, reliable systems and maintaining relationships with community partners, according to the release…
