MLK Day of Service invites residents to give back to their community

As Leadership Long Beach gears up for its 16th annual MLK Day of Service, nine volunteer opportunities across Long Beach are still open for sign-ups.

Taking place on Monday, Jan. 20, the MLK Day of Service is a partnership with the California Volunteers, in the Office of the Governor, an agency that mobilizes residents for civic service and volunteer opportunities.

This annual coordinated effort on Martin Luther King Jr. Day invites residents to uphold the legacy of Dr. King by partaking in one of several local cleanups, workshops or restoration projects to uplift the community…
