WATCH: Firefighters turned pizza delivery men after driver suffers medical incident

ST. LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — When a pizza delivery took an unexpected turn, the St. Lucie County Fire District stepped in to save the day—and dinner.

On Saturday, Battalion Chief Jimmy Meyer and Engine 3 went above and beyond their call of duty by delivering a pizza to a local home. The delivery driver had experienced a medical incident en route, leaving the pizza undelivered.

Still in uniform, the video shows Meyer and other firefighters delivering the pizza with the flashing lights from the fire truck illuminating the house.
