The streets of New Smyrna Beach will include more than the usual weekend traffic as Shark Bite weekend approaches with runners poised to take over some roadways both Saturday and Sunday.
The marquee event is Sunday’s Shark Bite Half Marathon, which begins at 7:30 a.m. on the east end of Flagler Avenue beachside, then comes to the mainland before returning beachside over the south causeway to continue the 13.1-mile course.
Ten minutes after the start of the half marathon, the Shark Bite 5k begins. Entries remain for both races on the race website…
