Brockton college student is ‘person of interest’ in Easton shooting. What happened in court

BROCKTON — A Brockton college student has been identified as a person of interest in the Easton shooting that left a teenage girl seriously injured Tuesday afternoon.

Anthony Lopes, 18, of Brockton, was arraigned in Brockton District Court Wednesday on illegal firearms charges when prosecutors named him as a person of interest in the daytime shooting of a teenage girl near the Avalon Apartments in Easton.

Lopes was arrested Tuesday after fleeing from police during a traffic stop and charged with carrying a loaded firearm without a license, according to court documents…
