Boise City Council advances plan to redesign city flag, seeks public input on new design

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — The City of Boise is moving forward with a project to redesign the city’s flag.

The Boise City Council met Tuesday to discuss the next steps and how the public’s input will help to shape the future flag of Boise. The current flag, seen above, was introduced in 1989. As the flag has reached 35 years of use, City Councilmembers say the impetus of this redesign is the question of whether or not the current flag, essentially the city logo over a blue flag, represents Boise today.
